Due to the forecast for lighting and thunderstorms this Saturday, we have postponed the event and will set a new date in the near future. It is with the safety of all participants in mind that we made this decision.

North Point Dive Quarry will be open to divers Saturday, but as always, please watch the weather forecast for the possibility of inclement weather.

Welcome Richard Payne & Tempest Anderson

Greetings to fellow divers and Pirates,

This past Saturday we had the privilege of meeting Richard Payne and Tempest Anderson from Columbus, Ohio. This was their first time diving here at North Point Dive Quarry. It was nice getting a chance to talk to them and hearing of their dive experiences at other dive locations both here in the United States as well as other Countries. They were even nice enough to give us temperature readings while they were exploring the Quarry. We hope they will continue to visit us often.

Great Season of Diving at North Point

Greetings fellow divers,

As you are all aware, 2020 has been a very difficult year in so many ways, but the number of divers who were able to visit and dive here at North Point Dive Quarry this season set a record.

Since our grand opening on July 1st, 2012, we have seen the number of divers increase each year, and we anticipate that 2021 will continue that trend. Those of you who visit our website, but have not had a chance to dive North Point yet, be sure to put us on your to do list for next dive season. We always look forward to meeting and talking to new visitors to our facility.

As a reminder, North Point Dive Quarry will close for the season on November 15th, so there are just a couple of weeks left to enjoy diving among 4′ long paddlefish as well as many other varieties of fish that you will see during your dive.

We hope you all will have a great Holiday Season through out the rest of the year, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year. Also, please take the time on Veterans Day to pay your respects to all Service Men and Women who have served our Country.

As a reminder, the Dive Season will begin again next Spring when we open North Point Dive Quarry on April 1st, 2021.

Take care and stay safe,

Captain Chuck

Greetings,

We are pleased to announce that The Welsh Hills Sawmilling Company located at 1079 Mt. Vernon Road, just a half mile South of North Point Dive Quarry has joined our team of Webcam sponsors. This versatile company can provide portable sawmill service, custom furniture sales, kiln dried lumber sales, as well as accessory structures. Be sure to stop in to see what they have to offer, you will be amazed at the possibilities.

As many of you may be aware, our streaming webcam has been inactive due to technical issues, and most recently a tree fell causing physical damage to the relay/sending unit for the camera. Our friends at AlphaLink Technologies are in the process of replacing the parts needed to get the camera up and on line again  in the near future.
